Sources in Emergency Operations Center (EOC) confirmed to Balochistan Point that a polio virus case been confirmed in provincial capital Quetta.
3 year old Naqeebullah who is a resident of Killi Barakzai area of eastern bypass Quetta is the victim of Polio Virus.
This discovery has brought the number of polio cases in Balochistan to 6; four in Quetta and one each in Loralai and Killa Abdullah. Total polio cases reported in Pakistan have reached 34 this year.
Balochistan government had conducted a massive, three day, anti-polio drive from 14th to 16th September aimed at administering anti-polio drops to over 2.4 million children in Balochistan.
