Pakistan - War against terrorism should reach logical conclusion: PPP leaders





Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly of Pakistan Khursheed Shah and other leaders of Pakistan People’s Party on Thursday in a press conference in Peshawar condemned the attack on school in Peshawar. Expressing grief over the attack, Shah said that war against terrorism should reach its logical conclusion and PPP is ready to fight terrorism against all odds.
Khursheed Shah said that history has never experienced as brutal and ghastly attack on innocent children before. The country is in a state of war but will ultimately win it, said Shah. According to Shah there are more than 50 lakh IDPS residing in Karachi, Attok and Banu altogether.
All the political parties have demonstrated unity in fighting terrorism in the country. He remarked that Sindh has given sacrifices in fight against terrorism though there are armed terrorist present in Sindh as well, he lamented.
Expressing his anger over the current state of affairs, he said that action must be taken against elements providing training and weapons for counterterrorism operations in Sindh. He said that to wipe out terrorism from Pakistan, federal government’s support is required and we respect the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army.
On this occasion, Raja Pervez Ashraf and Qamaru Zaman Qaira said that we all must unite to curb terrorism in Pakistan. Sherry Rehman stated that the time has come to draw a clear line against terrorism, the Federal government should take the lead in the fight.
