Pakistan: Asif Zardari criticizes idea of shutting cities down

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari Monday said those political parties who used to criticize others for shutting down cities, have adopted the same path.
Talking to a delegation of Social Services Wing, Mr. Zardari said prices of petroleum products went down due to the reduction of oil prices in international market, adding decisions should be taken very carefully in the current circumstances.
He further said: “We are facing a devil that is invisible. In the ongoing so-called jehad both murderer and victim are ones who recite the same Qalima”.
Former President went to say that the way former dictator Zia ul Haq couldn’t end the ideology of Bhutto and the terrorists would also not succeed in their attempts to bury the ideology of Muhterma Benazir Bhutto.
Criticizing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, Asif Zardari said let the players of the match continue bowling; it will allow us time to reorganize.
Zardari said politics is not T20 but a test match, adding that ‘fast bowler’ gets frustrated when he doesn’t take wickets.
“Some of our friends are in a hurry to govern the country but politics demands patience”, he added.

The former president further said ‘we don’t live for ourselves but for the nation and next generations’.
