Pakistan: PML-N’s Sher-e-Lahore caught damaging vehicles

As police tortured the protesters of Dr Tahirul Qadri-lead Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) outside the Minhajul Quran Secretariat, an active worker of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Gulu Butt was seen busy in damaging the vehicles parked in nearby areas, breaking there windshields as well as door glasses with a baton. Grabs run by several television channels kept on showing the whole day a person busy in damaging the vehicles parked around the ‘battlefield’. While several police personnel can be seen either standing beside him or passing by, none of them bothered to stop him of this illegal activity. Ironically, a few of them could be seen appreciating him for his ‘good work’.

The person later turned out to be a diehard worker of PML-N. Gulu Butt is said to be a resident of Khotha Pind in Faisal Town and reportedly keeps a bad repute in his neighborhood due to his wicked activities. Sources said that Gulu is very close to Shahbaz Sharif and often accompanies him in public rallies in different cities. Shahbaz has, reportedly, given him the title of Sher-e-Lahore (Lion of Lahore). Meanwhile, taking notice of the TV footage, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered IG Punjab to immediately arrest him. At least nine people, including two women, were killed and over 100 injured as police allegedly opened fire at workers of Dr Tahirul Qadri-led Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) outside Minhajul Quran Secretariat in Model Town on Tuesday.
