Pakistan: Three FC personnel killed in explosion near Hangu

A roadside remote-controlled bomb targeted a security forces’ convoy near Hangu on Wednesday, killing three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, DawnNews reported. According to military officials, the remote-controlled bomb struck the security forces’ convoy near Hangu. Subsequently, three FC personnel were killed whereas 11 others sustained injuries.
Two bodies found in Khyber
Meanwhile, two bodies in gunny sacks were recovered from Khyber Agency's Jamrud tehsil today. According to political sources, the bodies were found from the Shah Kas area in Jamrud Tehsil. The victims had been gunned down. Their bodies were shifted to the tehsil office. Meanwhile, political administration of the area launched a probe into the incident. Khyber is part of Pakistan’s semi-autonomous tribal belt on the Afghan border. The Taliban and other Al Qaeda-linked groups, who stage attacks in both countries, are known to have strongholds in the zone.
