The Pakistan Army was called in after two groups of inmates clashed in the highly sensitive Central Jail Peshawar here on Sunday.
According to police, as many as six prisoners were injured in the clash. According to reports the troops were called in to bring the situation under control.
IG Prisons said some prisoners sustained injuries in the clash. He, however, added that situation was under control.
